Digital Lighting Cables DMX

DMX512 is an RS485 based communications protocol that is most used to control stage lighting and effects. DMX512 stands for digital multiplex 512.This means that 512 channels are controlled digitally through one data cable. A channel is a set of 255 steps that are assigned to control attributes in each light. This may be a colour like red, green, or blue, and intensity, strobe, pan/tilt, or other attributes.

Event® DMX cables are available in flame retardant PVC or TPM sheath for patching or portable applications, PUR harsh environment double screened for portable/trailing applications or FireFighter Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) for fixed installations in public buildings.

Hybrid versions with power and data or scroller applications are also available from stock.
